  • Front Desk Receptionist (Must speak English and Spanish)
    The Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for Matcon's clients. They will be essential in handling front desk administrative duties such as phone calls and greeting clients.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Greet clients and visitors

- Direct calls to the appropriate department and persons

- Reserve conference rooms & arrange meetings

- Maintain knowledge of who is working on which project -Maintaining Job List for APMS.

- Sign & manage incoming packages

- Create all FedEx Labels. Drop off all FedEx packages at FedEx.

- Disperse incoming mail, manage out-going mail & keeping up with voicemails

- Maintaining front of office and keeping conference room neat for guests

- Assisting office with various administrative tasks: copies, faxing etc.

  • Concrete Tilt-Wall Project Manager - Orlando, FL.
    Commercial General Contractor Concrete Division seeking a project manager. Must have transportation, be a proven leader with a full understanding of project management.   • Concrete Operations Manager - Central, FL
    Commercial construction company seeking a qualified, experienced commercial constructionoperations manager for the Concrete Division to manage projects. Commercial experience (especially in retail) is a requirement. This is a full-time position with benefits. Compensation will be based on experience.

  • Construction Senior Estimator
    The Estimator will be responsible for preparing complete, accurate estimates for all contract types (lump sum, time and material, etc.)

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
    - Preparing detailed accurate material, labor, equipment, subcontracts, construction facilities, etc.
    - Foster relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
    - Attend on-site pre-bid/proposal conferences and site visits.
    - Develop and review subcontractor scopes of work and accept, review, and analyze subcontractor quotes for best value.
    - Prepare project bid status reports and ensure compliance with all specifications and contract Statements of Work and Bid Invitations.
    - Present cost estimates to meet customer proposals, providing consideration for general and special conditions.
    Prepare scope specifications and requirements, prepare and inputs project schedules, perform quantity takeoffs, prepare cost summary sheets, and input quantities into estimating software.
    Maintain an accurate, current database cost codes of accounts for historical data.
    Review Company jobs and compare on a timely basis to as-sold estimates to confirm accuracy of estimate.

    - Utilize the appropriate company and industry historical data for pricing estimates.

  • Form Carpenters
    We are seeking form carpenters - Commercial Construction to join our team! 

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    - Build the molds that retain wet concrete in the construction of foundations and other concrete structures.

    - Assemble manufactured forms, made from steel, wood or heavy plastic.

    - Assist in other duties as assigned.

    - Uses Levels: site, laser, transit etc.

    - Accurately measures, cuts and installs materials.

    - Is familiar with all safe work practices for hand tools and power tools if trained.

    -Assists with the proper installation of reinforcing, anchors and imbeds.

    -Installation of forms for placing concrete and grout.

DESCRIPTION

Use your experience and interpersonal skills to inspire exceptional performance. As a Senior Estimator, you are responsible for preparing preliminary budgets, milestone cost estimates, and final bid scope/pricing proposals for various types of commercial construction jobs, including: General Contracting, Construction Management, Design Build, Civil, and Building Maintenance Services. The Senior Estimator builds effective relationships with team members, internal and external customers, suppliers, and subcontractors. At Matcon Construction you would be also be responsible for the following:

  • Prepare quantity take-offs and estimated costs of materials, labor, and use of equipment required to fulfill all provisions of the contract from simple to complex.
  • Prepare quantity take-offs and estimates in detail for self-performed work (Selective demolition, Concrete, steel erection, carpentry, etc.)
  • Evaluate labor pricing/production for specific projects and/or locations;
  • demonstrate proficiency in material, labor, sub and equipment pricing for all trade disciplines.
  • Manage job-specific estimating teams in the assembly and submission of bids.
  • Prepare Estimate Action List; establish responsibilities and make assignments to estimating team members; coordinate and supervise work; establish schedule for completion of tasks to meet project requirements.
  • Consult with clients, architects, subcontractors, and material suppliers to discuss and formulate estimates, effect cost reductions, and resolve issues.
  • Understand how to create proper bid packages and bid alternate strategies.
  • Present and explain project budgets to clients, designers, and operations teams. Lead estimate presentations; "sell" estimates to Client and design team.
  • Communicate with subcontractors on key issues, such as project schedule, addenda, scope of work, and other bid information.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

 

The professional we are seeking will have:

* 6+ years construction experience, preferred bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Construction

Management preferred. Significant knowledge and experience on CM/GC, CMaR, Design Build projects,

and complex competitive bid projects. Proven track record of success working internally with an operations team and

externally with Owners, Architects/Engineers, and subcontractors.

  • Concrete CIP Waste Water Treatment Supervisor - Palmetto, FL.

Overview and Responsibilities: 

Plans, supervises, coordinates and operates and maintains facilities for treatment and the wastewater collection system. Assures that operations comply with State and Federal regulations while meeting specific effluent standards. Assures that water distribution systems comply with backflow and cross-connection requirements. Supervises and directs subordinate staff.

Additional responsibilities are as follows:

 

* Serves as Wastewater Treatment team leader. Plans, schedules and coordinates work, determining resource needs, oversees and participates in work of a crew, and coordinates maintenance and repair assignments with others.

* Performs and/or monitors performance of process control analyses. Interprets results and make process adjustments.

* Provides technical and process direction to wastewater treatment operators. Ensures that routine recordings are complete.

* Provides training of operators with emphasis on safety and process operations. Coordinates and performs operational maintenance projects and tasks.

* Serves as incident commander for crises until relieved, such as for chlorine response. Activates callout and emergency notification systems to notify management of process problems, bypasses and maintenance needs requiring immediate attention.

* Operates equipment of one or more wastewater treatment plants such as pumps, bar screens, clarifiers, digester's, sludge pumps, blowers, aerators, chlorinators, control panels, and related equipment.

* Operates, monitors and controls a network of pumps, bar screens, conveyers, grit, air and chemical systems.

* Trouble shoots equipment failures and identifies maintenance needs.

* Makes operational decisions including pumping rates and dosage adjustments, and whether to bring equipment on-line or take it off-line.

* Other duties as assigned.

 

Position Requirements:

The professional we are seeking will have: DEQ Wastewater Treatment Operator Level III, Water Distribution Level II, Confined space Recovery, Backflow Device Tester.

Commitment to continuous education through workshops, seminars, conferences and extracurricular activities.

* In-depth technical knowledge of the processes, techniques, and all applicable safety practices, tools, and materials used in wastewater treatment equivalent to that required for Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator III certification.

* Knowledge of process control equipment and process troubleshooting techniques.         

* Knowledge of the processes and chemicals used in testing and treating effluent.

* Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively; expresses opinions and innovative ideas.

* Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

* Must pass pre-employment drug screening.

* Must pass background screening.
